Although the temperature went down to -5°C last night (leaving a heavy frost on the car windows to be scraped off this morning), with blue skies, sunshine and 7°C today, it felt like Spring might finally be on its way - although I'm certain that there will be a lot more snow and sub-zero temperatures here before then !!
Hence I returned to the Rotter See in Troisdorf for todays photograph. I wanted to get a picture of three Great Crested Grebes that were diving for fish and resurfacing in almost perfect unison (maybe they were practicing for the synchronised diving in the next Bird Olympics ?), but they were slightly too far away, so I took this general view of the northern end of the lake instead.

Incidentally, the (artificial) sandy beach in the background is packed in summer with sunbathers, including many topless women .... although as usual, the women that should go topless never do, and those that do should remain covered up !! I would take a photograph and add it here in a few months to show you exactly what I mean, but I don't want to risk having such images burnt into my retinas or the sleepness nights that may accompany such horrific scenes.
