This used to be my "Photo A Day for 2010" blog, which went into hibernation at the end of 2010. Following many requests, I decided to revive it in early 2011. A random selection of recent photographs and activity updates will appear here intermittently (time and workload permitting !!)
That's a gorgeous building!
ReplyDeleteI only photographed two small sections of the buildings .... King Charles II wanted a palace to rival Versailles near Paris, but unfortunately ran out of money before all of the buildings and gardens could be completed. I didn't realise until yesterday that the area was open to the public, since it was still in use as Army barracks the last time I was there (in 1983 !!), so I will probably return to take more photographs (and add them here) when the weather is drier !!
