F1 Powerboat Grand Prix, Abu Dhabi Corniche

Kuwaiti driver Youssef Al Rubayan of the Atlantic Team lost control of his boat on the 27th lap .... just a fraction of a second before he crashed, the boat is already completely airborne, leaning over at an angle, and the propellor is coming out of the water.

As one fin bit into the water, the boat suddenly spun through over 90° in the air, and smashed sideways into the start-finish marker bouys (whilst still completely airborne). This accident brought an early finish to the 40 lap race after only 27 laps.
