I had intended to watch and photograph the firework display after midnight from my balcony, but the heavy mist that had been obscuring the view down to the Wied valley earlier in the day became a thick fog after dusk, so I drove down into Waldbreitbach and took some pictures from the bridge over the Wied river instead.
